Cyclotron was placed in a magnetic field of 1.24 Tesla and was able to accelerate deuterons from rest to an energy of 1 MeV. Calculate radius.
- Accelerating voltage V = 50kV. Therefore, deuterons must make 10 orbits to achieve 1 MeV.
1 MeV = 106 eV = 106 (1.6 ´ 10-19) J
