Ray tracing quick review for mirror
1) ray through center of the sphere; reflected straight back
3) ray to mirror center, reflected back at equal angle
2) ray parallel to the axis, reflected as if coming from focal point
- No REAL rays seem to converge !
- But, if you look at where the rays APPEAR to come from, they do intersect.
- That’s the location of the VIRTUAL image.
- All virtual images are upright here (and smaller)
